Starting in January of 2025 my work with Disney Collect has consisted of designing digital collector cards that are published on the Disney Collect app. Fans and collectors buy packs with randomized cards as they try to collect complete sets. Working closely with the Senior Content Designer it is my job to design cards that dazzle in the eyes of Disney fans and collectors.

Created in Dr. Jumba’s lab, Stitch, a fan favorite, was developed as “Experiment 626“ in an alien laboratory thus signifying 626 day as a big holiday in the Disney universe. Celebrated on June 26th (6/26) to commemorate Stitch’s decent to earth. I was tasked with creating a set of cards in support of the new Lilo & Stitch live action movie released earlier this year in 2025.

IN APP USEEvery set assigned to me needed a certain amount of variants. A variant is a form or version of something that differs from other forms of the same thing. Variants can vary from a color change, pattern change, or a frame change. For this specific set I was tasked with creating 4 variants for the 626 Day Collection and the Live Action Collection.

The producers take a look at the set and choose grades and rarity for each card. The grades range from Base Tier 1-6, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Epic and Legendary. It is typical that the epic and legendary cards get a “VFX Effect“ made by the producers. This gives a holographic effect to the cards when the user tilts their phone. I design each card with the intention of giving the VFX producers the tools to create intricate animations and holographic’s that collectors will love and cherish.

The Idols set collection is a collection created based on research from the content management team. The characters included in this set are the most sought after characters in Disney Collect. I was tasked with producing this set with a premium design and dazzling essence, while keeping them slick and abstract to avoid any narrative since there was a wide variety of characters.

The Polished Princess set collection is a collection created in honor of princess week. This a big week in the Disney world, we know how important the princesses are to Disney. The look and feel that Disney wanted for this set was regal, art deco, royal, and elegant.
